Is this just your standard grade American anti-German stuff or is it really grounded in the soccer?
No this is your standard grade Dutch anti-German stuff. Don't forget, I was taught soccer by my dutch babysitter when I was 3, rivalries and all. They play better these days-no longer breaking noses and cheating and getting away with it all. But, that is their history.
Also, the goal the US scored in 2002 and the uncalled handball on the same play don't help. And they just plain win too much.
Of course, I also fail to understand how Argentina gets a pass.
